The English dub premiered at Anime NYC on November 21. The film opened on Apin Japan, and had a simultaneous release in 22 other countries.

The 24th film in the series, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, was initially delayed due to issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. When Rei Furuya tracks the culprit down, a costumed assailant attaches a collar bomb to his neck. Miwako is attacked by a mysterious assailant during the ceremony while the serial bombing criminal who killed Jinpei Matsuda three years prior escapes. The film will take place in Shibuya during a wedding ceremony on Halloween. Mitsunaka is best known for his work on Haikyu!! and Squid Girl, while Okura has worked on a handful of Detective Conan episodes as well as the 21st and 23rd films in the franchise. Kaizo Fuura, (a stockbroker) commits suicide by shooting himself to death while Conan and the others watch. TMS Entertainment will produce the film, with Susumu Mitsunaka set to direct and Takahiro Okura handling the screenplay. Creator Gosho Aoyama previously mentioned that academy characters would play a bigger role in the 25th film, and the visual teaser seems to confirm that. The upcoming film will put a greater focus on the series’ police academy characters.
